Things I Miss About Spain

It's been exactly one year since I left Madrid. While I prefer my life in the U.S. overall, there are still plenty of things I loved about Spain. In fact, if I could go back in time and do college all over again, I'd probably become a Spanish major and study abroad in Madrid the entire year. Three and a half months was far too short! These are some of the things I missfrom my life in Spain:

  • chocolate and churros (especially the chocolate, which was incredibly rich and thick)
  • greeting people with besitos on the cheek
  • the botellón and discotecas
  • cute international boys
  • chorizo
  • fast, clean, and reliable public transportation
  • watching Patito Feo every day during my siesta lunch break
  • having ample free time to explore new parts of the city at random points during week
  • getting enough sleep
  • traveling throughout Europe
