Went on (another) well-deserved Eurotrip after taking USMLE Step 1, aka medical boards/exams for those who are unfamiliar. Milan, Italy is where I started my journey because I had always wanted to visit Italy and the flights to Milan cost much less for whatever reason. I spent a couple days there, which is all one really needs there since there aren't too many sights for the traveler passing through and it's a bit more business-like and modern, with less of that ancient Italian charm. I managed to have some adventures there though and it was a great start to my month-long voyage in Europe!
Learned that 'un caffé' is not, in fact, coffee as I'm used to ordering it, but rather an espresso shot. Don't remember this particular language difference in Spain, but perhaps that's because I always ended up ordering Spain's deliciously rich hot chocolate, or had coffee at home which my host mom made with a French press.
Learned that Italian men are gorgeous. Though I think the French one-up them on style and sexy accents.
And I definitely had my fair share of pizza, gelato, pasta, and other delicious Italian goodies!

See that blur in the back? That is a little bird that had the nerve to come up
to my plate to eat my pasta a la milanesa...multiple times!
