SO BUSY!

Senior year is horrible! Ech! With 5 AP classes, an Honors Pre-Med class, ACTs, SAT IIs, college apps to fill out, and essays to write I haven't had ANY time to update this blog. But I'm done with a bulk of the work now.

College

I'm pretty set on going to Northwestern University. I'm applying Early Decision, but sometimes I doubt myself.

My mom pretends to fully support my decision, but I know she feels it isn't good enough. As an immigrant parent who doesn't have much interaction with people outside our ethnicity, she's only heard of colleges like Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Standford, Duke, etc. But Northwestern? Who's ever heard of that! It's not Ivy League. It's not a top five school like U-Penn, which is where my brother went. It's not the big-name school she can brag about to her Indian friends.

And so I feel like I should scratch early decision and apply to several well-known schools. But then I feel like I might not get in since the acceptance rate for early decision applicants is much higher. And I genuinely want the stress to end in December when I get accepted/rejected.
