What can I say? He's my little Norwegian wonderboy. I'm absolutely charmed by him - by his looks, his voice, music, and his personality. I've googled and youtubed him dozens of times and listened to almost all his interviews (both English and Norwegian!) As far as favorite musicians go, he's one of my top five. So even though I recently went to his concert five months ago, I had to buy tickets when I saw he was coming back to Chicago for another show.
The concert was, once again, incredible. Even though I arrived only 20 minutes early, I managed to weasel my way to the front row (being short and petite has its advantages). Let me just say that the front row experience was simply amazing and infinitely better! Not only was it a great opportunity for photos and video, but it felt more organic somehow. More intimate to be within an arm's reach and see his body language and every facial expression in fine detail
After the concert he stuck around again for pictures and autographs. And because I've googled Sondre one too many times, I recognized the woman behind the counter selling merchandise to be his wife. She was gorgeous! They make a handsome couple and I hope their marriage lasts. When it was my turn for a photo there was so much I wanted to say to him! But alas, there was a large crowd and it was getting late. So I said my few words of admiration, got my photo, and went back home. It was an experience I'll savor for many years and one that I hope to replicate many times.
Same opening act, JBM
Croon, croon, croon...he's a crooner
One of the songs I had never heard and absolutely loved was "No One's Gonna Come"
The melody and chord changes of the main verse (first 50 seconds) are just gorgeous
Rockin' it out

Left: "Yo, wassup Sondre Lerche?" Right: Sondre and I are totally BFF, can't you tell?
