The good and the bad

Final Fantasy Fans...

Do you know what is happening in Final Fantasy IX during the song "You're Not Alone"? I'm playing the piano collections version for my recital (with prodigal Asians again ).

The Bad News

So jazz band is definitely more work then I thought it'd be. The director gave me about 15 pages of music to learn in 3 days for a performance, and for someone like me who learns by finger memory and hates sight reading, that was impossible.

I don't know how my fellow pianist does it. I'm know I'm better then her in terms of classical music, technique, and shaping musical lines. But she can sight read extremely well, learned her 15 pages of music in ONE day, and almost never gets lost in the music.

Suffice to say that I'm not doing jazz band again next year. Certainly not with even more AP classes and college apps.

The Good News

Two snow days in a row because it's too cold outside! Strongsville hasn't had a snow day since 2005!
