Paris - The Beginning of a Journey

The first stop on my post-graduation 3.5 week Eurotrip (+ Morocco) was Paris. Paris has always been a city I've wanted to visit because of it's reputation for beauty, romance, charm, elegance, and delicious baked goods at every corner. Not to mention, I've been in love with the French language since middle school, though I chose to pursue Spanish instead. I only recently started studying French in university and continue to study from the textbook even though I graduated. While I doubt my French will ever be as good as my Spanish, it's something I'm enthusiastic about learning and would love to speak conversationally one day. So it was nice to practice what little French I knew in Paris. The city certainly lived up to my expectations and gave me more than I ever expected. Great people, food, photos, and stories abound in that one week alone. What more could I ask for?

Below are just a fraction of the photos I took in Paris. More posts coming up!

Paris, France, bridge, locks
Love locks galore on a bridge. For those unfamiliar with the custom, two lovers inscribe their initials onto a padlock,
fasten it to the rail, and toss the keys in the Seine to signify their everlasting love.
