Throwing Books at Classmates
In class a few weeks back, my math teacher Mr. Dillon was rather annoyed by this Korean boy named John. John is the type of person who never pays attention or does his homework, and somehow always gets through each semester by doing his homework the day of or finding someone to copy off of. So Mr. Dillon jokingly suggested that I jab John in the back with my math back. Of course, I just quietly held my tongue. But then my fellow Spanish club officer and English office aide Vicente said "Do it! Yeah! Do it Rashmi!"
I looked at him quizzically. "Seriously?"
"Yeah!" he insisted. So I raised my math book high in the air, all eyes were on me, and I whipped it at John's back.
What a satisfying moment! The whole class enjoyed it as well, and burst out laughing for at least an entire minute. Even Mr. Dillon's face turned a bright shade of red - he certainly never expected that from me. It was a good outlet, and I think I should be more violent like that (at least occasionally...). Now that I'm a senior, I've noticed that I'm a bit more aggressive in the hallways and just shove my way through the throngs of slow-walkers and angst-ridden teenagers holding hands. I reaaallly need to get out of here!
